CPUTemp.vbs
This Big Brother plug-in uses WMI to query the system's CPU temperature status. I have tested it for Big Brother Commercial Version 4.2. If the current temperature is more or equal than the critical temperature then test will generate a red status report.
Note: I will appreciate if you can rate this script.

temperature.sh V5.0. Local temperature monitoring script for hardware. Works on: Sun Enterprise 250, 450, 3x00, 4x00, 5x00 & 6x00, Sun Blade 1000, 2000, 100, 150, 1500 & 2500, Sun Fire 280R, V210, V215, V240, V440, V480, V490, V880, V890, 3800, 4800, 4810, 6800 & V1280 (Netra T12) and Serverblade1 servers, plus Sun Ultra 25 & 45 workstations. Also works on Fujitsu Siemens PrimePower 250, 400, 650, and 850 servers. Also works on most OSF Digital/Compaq/HP Alphaservers, and on Linux systems running Dell PowerEdge OpenManage or lm_sensors. New in V5.0: Now uses prtpicl for Solaris systems that support it for better reading of temperatures, including the threshold limits.

temp.tar.gz
This script will read in hard drive temperatures from SMART send them to BB for graphing. It is currently set up to read the temperatures of hard drives connected to a 3ware card, but any device that can report temperature to smartctl will work fine. Also, if this easy to follow "format" is used for submitting temperatures, they will be reported and graphed
It is based on temperature.tar.gz and hddtemp, but I think it is much easy to read and understand

sunhw.sh
This is an very simple script/test, but extremely useful. It detects ANY hardware failure in Sun SPARC systems by using the standard 'prtdiag' command. Prtdiag exits with a value of '1' if there is an hardware error, otherwise with an exit code of '0'.
This way, no model/platform specific (i.e. V240/V890/15K, etc.) customizations are required, as the output of 'prtdiag' differs on most systems. It works fine on Fujitsu-Siemens systems too.

bb-dell_temp.pl
Current version: 1.0 This script uses Dell's OpenManage Server Administration (OMSA) tool called 'omreport'. The trick is to call it from the BB-server via ssh, so you have to exchange the key, but it is possible to do the tests on machines in the DMZ or other locations behind a firewall.
