BB-Fetch v2 is a rewrite of the old version of bbfetch because there was no combo messages support. This version includes normal and combo messages support. The purpose of bb-fetch stays the same as the old one. Instead of sending bb data from the client to the server, with bb-fetch the bb data will be collected by the server using the ssh protocol. This is very handy at well protected sites like DMZ's where no connections are allowed to the localnet but ssh connections are allowed from the localnet to the DMZ.
Has been tested on Linux, Solaris 7, 8 and HPUX 10.20, 11.00 but works on most platforms.

A turboavlbty similar to the original fping in funtionality and also requiring the fping program. It has a much better performance as the core processing is written in perl and is fully asynchronous. A turbociscouptime that probes hosts using snmp. Right now it will probe Cisco routers for their uptime to detect reboots. It's multithreaded using fork, in perl. The code is modular, so you can easly monitor other parameters, using any exotic protocol you can talk using perl, while mantaining the high performance multithreaded monitoring. If you have >200 hosts and little time to monitor them (30 seconds) this is what you need. |

Issue: With very large filesystems 1% of the disk can be > 1GB. Being sent a red alert for the reason that only 2GB of disk are free is not always desirable.
Solution: This patch is a fully-backward compatible version of bb-disk.sh that when added will not change the behavior of filesystems not in the bb-dftab. They will still alarm at the default of 90% for yellow and 95% for red. Filesystems in bb-dftab without extra fields will still alarm at the given percent. If you add two addtional fields they will specify the number of KB to alarm at. For example /bubba:100:100:2097152:1048576 /bubba will go yellow if it has < 2GB free and red if it has < 1GB free. |
